How To Calculate YABA TECH Aggregate Score

If you are searching for how to calculate YABATECH cut off mark or your aggregate score then you need to follow these practical steps: You can easily calculate your O’Level, UTME and Post UTME if you follow this scheme.

  • Post UTME equals 30%
  • UTME equals 50%
  • O’Level equals 20%

For you to have a better understanding of how to calculate YABA TECH aggregate score. let us use Femi, that is a candidate seeking admission into YABA TECH as a case study.

How To Calculate For O’Level

  • A1 = 4.0
  • B2 = 3.6
  • B3 = 3.2
  • C4 = 2.8
  • C5 = 2.4
  • C6 = 2.0

Note: You should remember that you need to calculate using only the five O’Level subjects needed for your course.

Let us assume Femi who desires to study Mass Communication, has the following grades in his SSCE result:

  • Mathematics = B2
  • English = A1
  • Government = B2
  • Economics = C5
  • Literature in English = A1

Using the grade marks above, his YABATECH O’level grades will be calculated like this;

3.6 + 4.0+ 3.6+ 2.4+ 4.0 = 17.6

Femi’s O’Level grade has summed up to 17.6.

I hope this step was understood by you.

How To Calculate JAMB (UTME) Score

To calculate Femi's JAMB or UTME score, we need to divide his JAMB score by eight (8). This means that your final aggregate score is also dependent on your UTME score, so you need to perform better in UTME if you want your chances of securing admission into YABATECH to be high.

247/8 = 30.88.

Now we have gotten Femi's O’Level score, and UTME score, the next step now is to know her Post UTME score, let us go!

 YABATECH Post UTME Score

The post UTME score represents 30% of the total YABATECH aggregate score.

You should also note that any candidate who scored below 12% in the YABATECH post UTME may be automatically disqualified, irrespective of the candidate’s JAMB score.

So, let us assume Femi scored 23% in his YABA TECH post UTME. Our final step now is to calculate the aggregate score.

Now we have calculated Femi's O’Level score, UTME, and post UTME score, let us add up the figures in order to arrive at her YABATECH aggregate score.

Remember, Femi has the following grades:

O’Level grade = 17.6
UTME grade = 30.88
Post UTME grade = 23%

His aggregate score would therefore be calculated as follows:
O'level + JAMB + P-utme = AGGREGATE SCORE
17.6 + 30.88 + 23 = 71.48

If Femi's aggregate score is equal or higher than the cut off mark of MASS COMMUNICATION, he will be admitted into the department. But if it is lower than the cut off mark, then he will be denied admission.

Hope with this explanation, you have finally learnt how to calculate YABA TECH cut-off mark or aggregate score for any particular course offered by the institution.

Conclusion
If you don't secure admission into YABATECH, try next year. All you need is to work hard in order to beat the cut off mark for your preferred course of study

Note: These requirements are subject to change. We will update the table when the school updates any info.
As I stated in the OND requirement post, you can combine Waec and Neco, Waec and Gce, Neco and Gce but you cannot combine Nabteb and Waec or Nabteb and Neco, it is not accepted in Yabatech. Do not use fake results because no matter how you do it, the school has a way of finding out.

Anybody that uses a fake result would be given admission subject to when the school verifies all your documents. Once the school verifies the documents, candidates who used fake would be expelled, this would be done after school fees have already been paid. For you not to waste your money, please do not use fake results.
