The Yaba College of Technology has released their 2018/2019 cut off mark for all courses. There are certain criteria needed by a student before him/her can study in the Higher institution, such as the Jamb cut off mark for each school, and also the courses. Getting admission into Higher institution can be easy if one meets the required mark for the school. { YABATECH CUT OFF MARK FOR ALL COURSES JAMB & Direct Entry }

ADMISSION PROCESS

Are you a prospective application of this great institution? Did you picked YABATECH as the first and second institution of choice, then you need to read carefully’ YABATECH offers 37 ND courses, and the Jamb Cut-Off Mark is pegged at 150 for all these courses and 180 for all the13 courses under the School of Technical courses that is operated in affiliation with the University of Nigeria leading to the award of Bachelor degree in education. Did you scored 150 and above in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and have 5 relevant credits in your SSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB at not more than 2 sittings? then you need to do the following :
  • Did you pick YABATECH as the second choice of institution? then you need to change to First choice on the Joint Administration & Matriculation Board portal.
  • Pay the Post UTME admission screening fee
then you are qualified to be screened with the entry point system introduced by Joint Administration & Matriculation Board (JAMB) and do you know you do not have to wait for the school to calculate your point on your behalf, while they will do that, you can calculate also your points by yourself, and it will logically advise you should do, just to compare your calculated results with the last cut-off marks released by the School. If you scored below the cut-off point for your course then I will advise you should change your course to the one you are qualified for. How does the point system work?
The Point System is an evaluation system that evaluates a candidate based on two criteria: JAMB UTME and O level. The Jamb UTME Score you scored is summed to 60 while the “O” level is summed at 40%.The O level is graded based on the times of sittings and the cumulative score points.
  • 1 sitting is awarded 10 marks
  • 2 sittings is awarded 3 marks
AND the O level course grade are as follows;
  • A -8 marks
